My early life
I was born on June 2nd, in Canton, China. My (late) father Wong Shi Yu alias Chiu Jung was at that time Professor of Chinese literature and history at Kwangtung Advanced Normal College. When I was seven years old, I entered the primary school attached to the College, which was located in the campus of the College. My father died at 57 when I was in the third year of school. It was only from the books and papers he left behind that I knew later what a great scholar and versatile man he was.
I continued my studies and progressed smoothly to the sixth grade, and graduated from primary school in During those years, there was one thing that I will always remember.
