Japanese comedian Masatoshi Hamada is facing backlash after appearing in blackface during a variety show skit on New Year's Eve.

One of the most famous performers in Japan, Masatoshi donned blackface to impersonate actor Eddie Murphy during the sketch on a Japanese broadcast, and it's causing rightful backlash on social media.
