    Lloyd Seyoung Lee (born August 10, 1976) is a former American football coach and safety. He played college football at Dartmouth and professionally for one season with the San Diego Chargers. He was later an assistant coach for the Chicago Bears for five seasons, including an appearance in Super Bowl XLI.

    College career

    After graduating from Bloomington Jefferson High School in Minnesota, Lee played safety from 1994 to 1998 at Dartmouth College.[1]

    Lee played safety for the San Diego Chargers in 1998.[1]

    Coaching career

    Lee was a pro scout for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before being hired by the Chicago Bears on January 23, 2004, as the defensive quality control coach. He has held a number of positions with the Bears most recently as linebackers coach.[1] Lee was the nickelbacks coach for the Bears in 2006 and 2007, before being promoted to linebackers coach on January 16, 2008.[2] He was dismissed from this position in January 2009.[3]

    In 2017, Lee was outside linebackers coach for Holy Cross.[4]

    Lloyd Lee Choi is a Korean-Canadian writer/director living in Brooklyn. His short film, Same Old (2022), had its World Premiere at the 75th Cannes Film Festival as part of the main competition, the only US film to be accepted in the line-up of nine films. It went on to premiere at Toronto International Film Festival (Special Jury Mention), Melbourne Int’l Film Fest, New York Film Fest, and Seminci. Same Old also won 1st Place at the 2022 HBOmax APA Visionaries awards and won Best Short of Festival award at Raindance. He is currently developing the feature adaptation with Destin Daniel Cretton’s company, Family Owned.

    Lloyd’s recent short film, Closing Dynasty (2023), was supported through the Future Gold Film Fellowship as 1 of 3 filmmakers selected by Netflix, Tribeca, and Gold House. Closing Dynasty World Premiered at the 73rd Berlinale and then went stateside for SXSW ‘23.

    Lloyd was also named 30-under-30 by Marketing Magazine and has directed global campaigns for brands like Google, Chevrolet, Sony, and Nat Geo. He balances his work slate with socially conscious projects, writing and directing short films and PSA’s for ACLU, Zappos, AARP, and Stress Health.
